We caught up with the Universal Windows Direct team ahead of our event to talk about their products, plans for 2020, and what folks can expect from them at the show. Enjoy our brief interview below.

Please describe your products.

"Universal Windows Direct is a complete home improvement company. We offer replacement windows, entry doors, vinyl siding and roofing. All of our products are of the highest-quality, designed to enhance and protect the integrity of each home we engage with."

What can we look forward to from you at the Cleveland Home + Remodeling Expo?

"People who attend this year’s show can expect a truly personal experience. Our two-story booth allows us the space to fully engage with our customers, address their concerns, display our products, and showcase the unique qualities of our company. Strengthened by these qualities, the trust of our customers, and community, has been achieved."

What home design and decor trends are you anticipating for 2020?

"In 2020, we’re expecting the consumer to take a more active role. Meaning, people aren’t going to go into home improvements blindly, they’re going to do their research like never before. In doing so, we believe homeowners will understand the importance of investing in quality, distinctive products that will add deep, lasting value to the home, while not simply settling for the least expensive option."

What inspires your products?

"Our products are literally inspired by our customers. We actively, and persistently listen to our customers. Our customers not only desire aesthetically pleasing products, they need to save money on their energy bills. This means our products need to be both energy-efficient, and beautiful. Our focus is always on adapting our products to fit our customers’ need. Otherwise, why bother?"

What is your favorite part of the Cleveland Home + Remodeling Expo?

"We LOVE the people!! It’s a genuine gift to be able to meet and interact with such a wide variety of people. No two stories are ever the same. People need help and they trust us to be the experts. That’s a huge responsibility that we don’t take lightly. We’re honored to be able to help these people. They are part of our community, therefore, they’re an extension of us. We are here to serve the people, while providing an unmatched customer experience. And guess what, that means having fun, caring and loving what we do. Win-Win!"

What advice would you give homeowners?

"We advise homeowners to take their time. Do their homework. Discover what product will truly benefit their home now, and for years to come. Quality home improvements are a great investment, but they are an investment. Make sure you’re setting your home up for long-term success with quality of product, paired with a warranty that affords you peace of mind for the lifetime of your home."

What is your creative process like?

"Our creative process is very team-oriented. We are very close-knit at UWD, and there is a whole cast of characters that reside in the walls of our offices. Most of us are homeowners as well. So, we’re in an interesting situation…we’re the company and the customer. We form conclusions based on prior success, but we’re constantly building upon that success, learning from past mistakes, listening to & respecting each other, while consistently encouraging new ideas. The innovations of our fellow employees are key. We are then able to gain and produce solutions that work for the universal consumer."
