Can't wait that long? We sat down with the dynamic duo to a get a sneak peek at what they've got planned for the show and to get some much needed home improvement tips. Check out our brief interview below.
Q: Do you have any tips for giving character to a new home build? What's the best way to take a traditional new build and infuse unique elements to make it have some local/timeless flavor such as reclaimed wood accents?
Drew & Jonathan: "The best thing to do is to add a feature like a reclaimed wood feature wall or even a full brick veneer wall to make it look like real exposed brick. It's all about breaking up the modern clean lines with rustic elements."
Q: Do you have any tips for making the old more modern? What’s the best way to take a 90s-looking home and giving it a face lift?
Drew & Jonathan: "Maintain cool features that add value like possibly thick wood banisters and or Stainglass windows. But get rid of features that nobody likes, such as popcorn ceilings and old cabinets. The 90’s were a known for honey oak cabinets and cheap lighting. You need to either paint them out if the style is still current or replace completely."

Q: When you were kids, what did you want to be when you grew up? If you weren't in real estate and construction, what would you be doing?
Drew & Jonathan: "In grade 5 we got up in front of the class and Jonathan proclaimed he wanted to be a flower man. Today if Jonathan wasn't doing real estate he would be performing as a magician. Drew would be an actor."
Q: What gardening/landscaping work can you do to help your property value?
Drew & Jonathan: "Prune back shrubs and trees, keep the garden school and have a pop of color on the front of the house. That helps make a great first impression. Also, ensure that all paths in the edge of the driveway are nice and clean, maybe use something such as brick to edge."
Q: If you had one piece of advice for home buyers before getting into a large renovation project, what would it be?
Drew & Jonathan: "Plan, plan, plan. Educate yourself on the process and make sure you work with professionals who will keep you on track. Nothing inflates a budget faster than delays."
Q: With spring/summer coming, do you have any budget-friendly design tips for updating outdoor living spaces?
Drew & Jonathan: "Try and bring that comfort of the inside outdoors. Use large colorful area rugs and pops of color in your throws and pillows. Look for a feature like a fire pit that everybody can congregate around in the evening."
