Tiny Homes Take Center Stage at the Cleveland Home + Remodeling Expo

Mar 17, 2016, 18:58 PM
One of the hottest trends in home design will be the talk of Cleveland this month when Tiny Home construction experts and model homes descend on the FirstMerit Convention Center of Cleveland for the Cleveland Home + Remodeling Expo, March 18-20.

Tiny Home

Visitors will be able to tour tiny homes built by Small Spaces CLE and see why they are gaining popularity in home design. Walk through three homes – each under 200 square feet – and experience first-hand why a luxury home doesn’t always mean thousands of square feet. The homes will also provide ideas for streamlining and enhancing the efficiency of any home or apartment. From built-in couches that convert to sleeping space to an induction cooktop that stores in a kitchen door, these tiny homes are sure to inspire!

Once done exploring the tiny home models, visitors will want to head over to the Main Stage to catch a presentation by The Diedricksen Brothers. Derek “Deek” Diedricksen, recent host of HGTV’s Tiny House Builders, has been a tiny house builder and enthusiast since 1987. He also runs the YouTube design channel “RelaxShacksDotCom” with his brother Dustin. Together they teach hands-on building workshops around the world and build tiny houses, tree houses and backyard offices for clients. They will be appearing on the Main Stage Friday, March 18 at 6 p.m., Saturday, March 19 at noon and 4 p.m. and Sunday, March 20 at noon and 2 p.m.
